The Media Cabinet's dimensions are 37 3/4" x 20 1/2" x 20" (height x width x depth).
2. What are the drawer's inside dimensions? The drawers are 20" deep, 37" wide and 9" high. The drawer can be divided in either six rows for Classic, CD Pro and DVD2 Sleeves, CD Jewel Cases and Cassettes, five rows for DVD Pro Sleeves and DVDs in Amaray or Ecopack cases, or four rows for DVDs and videos if they need to be stored sideways.
Can-Am cabinets are made of steel and finished in a satin powder coat, to be as attractive as they are functional. Nothing is stronger or more durable. Can-Am is steel furniture designed to be seen and used.
4. Are all cabinets fully assembled? Yes. All cabinets come fully assembled. Optional items such as shelves or dividers and backstops are packaged separately.
Drawer cabinets can be stacked a maximum of three high. That stack can, however, be topped off with a non-drawer cabinet, such as a CABDR16. This also applies to cabinets on 2" or 3" legs. Cabinets on screw-in wheels, 4", 5", and 6" legs should be limited to only two high.
The drawers glide open on full extension metal ball bearing drawer slides. The drawer slides are rated at 150 lbs. per pair and a drawer full of DiscSox weighs about 100 lbs. Full extension drawers provide the same instant easy access to DiscSox regardless whether they are located in the back or in the front of the drawer. Can-Am media cabinets are equipped with safety interlocking drawers which allow only one drawer to open at a time, to prevent accidental tipping. As soon as one drawer is opened, the other drawer or drawers in the cabinet are locked using a state-of-the-art interlocking device. We wouldn't have it any other way. A fully loaded cabinet can weigh over 300 pounds.
Can-Am does not use dealers (except DiscSox who is a partner) and you avoid paying any markup that would be applied. We ship worldwide directly from our warehouse and have been doing so since 1979. That gives us the opportunity to provide exceptional value and deal directly with our real customers - you. You can also be assured of outstanding service and know that when you are ready to order more cabinets, they will be available, whereas dealers often add and drop product lines.
8. Are the dividers and backstops really necessary for CD / DVD storage? The dividers and backstops work together to keep your CDs, DVDs, or other media upright and organized when you don't have a completely full row. And, it is very rare to keep your media drawer completely full at all times. Our customers have told us that the backstop system is well worth the investment to keep their collection organized and easy to access.
Because the Media Cabinets are heavy (over 95lbs)
and are shipped directly from Canada, shipping is typically $99 depending
on selected options and destination.
In the unlikely event you are not completely satisfied with your Can-Am purchase, you may return the product in the original packaging in like-new condition (subject to inspection) for a full product refund within 10 days of purchase. Freight charges to and from your address will be at your expense.
