You can also organize by genre, grouping music categories such as Classical, Jazz, Pop/Rock, and movie categories such as Comedy, Drama, Documentary, and then affix the group names that you need onto blank dividers.  We offer 96 music or movie pre-printed labels, and these can be found at http://www.mmdesign.com/products/labels.htm#musiclabels.

Depending on how large your collection is, though, you might want to organize by genre and by alphabet.  For example, we ourselves have five different genres of music, and within each genre, we organize the discs by alphabet. You can alphabetize with either the DiscSox 5-Blank/Alphabetical Divider sets, which includes A-C, D-G, H-M, N-S, T-Z,
DVD Pro 5 Divider Set or with the DiscSox 24-Blank/Alphabetical Divider sets.  All DiscSox dividers can be turned upside down and used as BLANK dividers.

If you need more specialized label IDs, you can easily find Avery blank clear labels at the office supply store, and create your own with your home printer.
