Toshiba and Best Buy’s in-house Insignia brand appears to be set to release combo HDTV/Blu-ray players in the near future. Blu-ray.com reports that Toshiba’s combo will be demoed at the upcoming CES show. It’ll be dubbed ‘Cell Regza’ and will be powered by the same processor found in the PlayStation 3. This could be the start of a trend as Engadget and Blu-ray.com spotted a ‘coming soon’ mention of another HDTV/Blu-ray player, this time from Insignia. By the time I tried to check out the product, with the model name NS-LBD32X-10A, it appeared that Best Buy had taken down the Web page. But reports say this one features a 32-inch LCD screen and is expected to be priced at $599. There is an Ethernet connection, indicating that it will be a BD Live player.
