Alternative storage cases for DiscSox sleevesPosted by Vanessa in New Products, Storage and Organization, tags: Decorative storageMost of our customers order either our 12″ DiscSox Clear Tray for CDs or DVDs, or our 12″ DiscSox Metal Trays for the same, to store their DiscSox sleeves, but we also sell to customers who purchase “just” sleeves. So that brings us to the question…’where are our customers storing their DiscSox sleeves’? We realize some customers have custom-made drawers that do not require trays, but this certainly does not include everyone. Because most of our sales are made through our website, we don’t get the opportunity to personally talk to all of our customers, so we would really like to hear from you, and find out how you’re storing your DiscSox sleeves if not in one of our trays, cases or cabinets. Since our Vintage cases have been discontinued for now, we’d like to expand our DiscSox product line to include more decorative containers, so any comments or feedback from you, our customer, for what you would like to see added to our assortment would be very helpful as we design new items to hold DiscSox sleeves. Please send your comments to vanessa.oconnor@discsox.com Thank you for your help! Vanessa -

Travelling with your DiscSox sleeves is easy and convenient with DiscSox Travel PouchesPosted by Vanessa in Storage and Organization, Travel, tags: DVD Storage, organizing collections, traveling with CDs and DVDs
We travel a lot, and we always want to bring our movies and music with us. We can only download a certain number of movies on a PC hard drive, and the screen size of most MP3 players prohibits us from watching a movie together, or actually seeing the movie when its playing.
We end up bringing our CDs and DVDs with us and use the DiscSox Travel Pouch. It’s a great solution because you don’t have to remove the discs from the sleeves and try to find them in binders or whatever. You simply take the CDs and DVDs, in their DiscSox Sleeves, and place them in the DiscSox Travel Pouch. Then, when you get home, you put them back. http://www.mmdesign.com/cd-dvd-accessories.htm These pouches make it really easy to take your movie and music collections with you wherever you go, on planes, trains or automobiles!

Suggestions for organizing large media collectionsPosted by Vanessa in Storage and Organization, tags: DVD Storage, organizing collections
One of the most common questions we get from customers is about the best way to organize their media collections. Since this is a very personal decision, the dividers have been created to give users flexibility. Most people choose to alphabetize their DVDs and their CDs with the DiscSox 24-Blank/Alphabetical Divider sets. Sizes vary depending on the DiscSox sleeve you’re using. http://www.mmdesign.com/cd-dvd-accessories.htm
You can also organize by genre, grouping music categories such as Classical, Jazz, Pop/Rock, and movie categories such as Comedy, Drama, Documentary, and then affix the group names that you need onto blank dividers. We offer 96 music or movie pre-printed labels, and these can be found at http://www.mmdesign.com/products/labels.htm#musiclabels. Depending on how large your collection is, though, you might want to organize by genre and by alphabet. For example, we ourselves have five different genres of music, and within each genre, we organize the discs by alphabet. You can alphabetize with either the DiscSox 5-Blank/Alphabetical Divider sets, which includes A-C, D-G, H-M, N-S, T-Z, If you need more specialized label IDs, you can easily find Avery blank clear labels at the office supply store, and create your own with your home printer. - Vanessa
